Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention (DVIP) Program
Discussing the issue of domestic violence with a patient is a sensitive matter and, if not handled carefully, may further alienate or endanger the survivor. You can help survivors through intervention and prevention by simply identifying the signs of domestic violence and encouraging your patients to talk about the problem. The DVIP program was established to help you and your dental team in having these difficult conversations.

If you are unable to view the video above click here to request a free DVD of the program. This is one of the many ways the AACD Charitable Foundation is raising awareness of domestic violence.
